Homepage for the fanmade translation English patch of Digimon Adventure for the PSP, released on January 13, 2013 in honor of the franchise's 15th anniversary, published by Bandai Namco and developed by Prope.
The game is a turn-based RPG and is a fairly close adaptation of the original 1999 anime and its accompanying movie Our War Game!, featuring all (but one, due to Hiroko Konishi's voice acting retirement) of the main voice cast, with lines taken directly from or slightly modified from the original anime script. There are also a number of original subplots that were not in the anime, the ability to make choices that create slightly altered versions of certain scenes, and (as many fans have dreamed of), the ability to access the Ultimate forms of the original eight children's Digimon. There is also a bonus scenario at the end, where Taichi meets with the lead protagonists of the sequel Digimon anime series (Daisuke, Takato, Takuya, Masaru, Taiki, and Tagiru).
Bandai Namco has not expressed any interest in localizing the game to any territory, and it would certainly be difficult for them to do so due to the end of the PSP's lifespan and the intricacies of this game's existence causing some severe obstacles. Therefore, the goal of this patch group is to translate the text to English so that non-Japanese speakers may enjoy this game. Of course, if by some circumstance Bandai Namco chooses to make an English version of this game, the translator will cease all activity; however, as this seems like an unlikely occurrence, we hope to do our best to release this patch for everyone's benefit.
