"...and are you there like you promised?"
After rescheduling things left and right, and with the help of my wonderful new editor, and at least one translator who helped quite a bit...it would be a lie to say that I'll have all the text at the exact end of July 31 like I promised. That said, we're still mostly on schedule, so even if it's not exactly on July 31 it'll at least be within the first week of August or so (and if it doesn't look like it'll go that way, I'll just have to pull a few more all-nighters). As soon as that point is reached, the text will be in final draft mode, which means that barring any severe mistranslations or typos, the text will not be edited any further (regardless of how much my perfectionism may want to see it changed).
Now, of course, that still means there'll still be much to be done. All the text being translated means that all the text will need to be inserted into the actual game and promptly bugtested - although the folks at Deep Dive seem to have a very efficient process ironed out. On top of that, that's all the story text; there's still the game text, and unfortunately Bandai Namco and Prope love to torture me by putting the whole Digimon encyclopedia in there.
Still, this is a much more solid place than we've been anywhere in the last while, which makes me very happy. Personally, since I will be a much busier girl after this summer ends, I'd like to get my end of the work done by then...and perhaps we can shoot for beta testing and possibly even a final release by the end of the year...?
Oh, but don't take my word for it. Anything can happen, and I'm not sure I really should be getting your hopes up. But still, I'm so thankful to all of you for waiting patiently. I'll do my best from this end. o/
